Three gold medals for Vinařství Fučík at the 2026 National Wine Competition

This year’s National Wine Competition for the Mikulov wine sub-region brought us triple the joy. Amidst strong competition from wines from one of Morava’s most distinctive wine-growing regions, three wines from the Vinařství Fučík were awarded gold medals.

The jury awarded the highest score to Pálava Diamond 2024, which received 91 points. The Sylvánské zelené Classic 2024, with a score of 89.67 points, and the Ryzlink vlašský Exclusive 2025 from the Mariánský kopec vineyard, with 89 points, also took home gold medals.

The success of wines from the Mikulov wine sub-region

The National Wine Competition holds special significance for us. It is not just about medals and points, but above all about bringing together wines produced in the same region – beneath Pálava, in the vineyards and on the soils that give the Mikulov region its unmistakable character.

We are all the more delighted that three of our wines have been successful in this year’s competition, each with its own distinct varietal character and its own story.

Pálava Diamond 2024: 91 points and a gold medal

The highest score of our wines was awarded to Pálava Diamond 2024. The jury awarded her a wonderful 91 points and a gold medal.

This marks yet another significant achievement for Pálava Diamond 2024. It had already won the title in 2026 Best Palava at the Oenoforum international competition. The gold medal from the National Wine Competition thus confirms its exceptional quality, even when compared with wines from the Mikulov wine sub-region itself.

Sylvánské zelené classic 2024: 89.67 points and a gold medal

We were also delighted by Sylvánské zelené Classic 2024, which was awarded 89.67 points and a gold medal.

Sylvánské zelené is not one of those varieties that immediately catches the eye. And perhaps that is precisely why we love it so much. It can be delicate, refined and authentic. Its gold medal is proof to us that even a less conspicuous variety can win over a panel of experts with its purity and character.

Ryzlink vlašský Exclusive 2025 from Mariánský Hill: 89 points and a gold medal

Rounding off the trio of award-winning wines is Ryzlink vlašský exclusive Mariánský kopec 2025, who won 89 points and a gold medal.

The jury also included the following description with their assessment: “Peach, minerality, gooseberry, whitecurrant; delicate on both the palate and the nose. A superb example of a light wine.”

It is precisely the Ryzlink vlašský that is one of the grape varieties inextricably linked to the Mikulov region and its limestone subsoil. The award won by the wine from Mariánský kopec is therefore exceptionally valuable to us.
