Our vineyards
We are a Mikulov winery, which is why our white grapes come exclusively from Mikulov.
All our vineyards are situated in the Mikulov cadastral area, in the most beautiful spots with stunning views, which is why working in these vineyards is such a joy. We believe that you can taste the joy we take in our winemaking in our wines! We tend to our vineyards and carefully select the grapes from which we craft our wines.
The grape is always the foundation, which is why we take such good care of it.
Even good grapes can be turned into bad wine, but you simply cannot make great wine from poor-quality grapes.

Turold
This vineyard lies at the foot of Turold Hill in Mikulov. I would go so far as to say that this plot is the most beautiful in the whole of Mikulov; the views of Mikulov and Svatý kopeček from here are truly breathtaking! In 2017, we planted the Ryzlink vlašský and Sylvánské zelené grape varieties here.

Za Turoldem vineyard
This vineyard lies below the summit of Turold (at an altitude of 385 m) in Mikulov and is the highest-altitude vineyard in the Mikulov region. Eagle owls nest in the trees above the vineyard; they are the vineyard’s best defence against starlings, which is why we have never seen a starling here, even without any scarecrows. Occasionally, you may also spot a rare grasshopper in the grass among the vines. We have planted Rulandské modré in this vineyard and are looking forward to our first harvests.

The Vineyards Beneath Svatý kopeček I.
Svatý Kopeček is Mikulov’s most prominent landmark, standing at a height of 363 metres. At its summit stands a bell tower and the Chapel of St Sebastian, behind which lie the smaller Chapel of St Rosalia and the Chapel of St Barbara. In this vineyard, which is over 40 years old, we grow our exceptionally mineral-rich Ryzlink vlašský and charming Chardonnay.

Šibeniční vrch vineyard
Šibeniční vrch is a rocky hill with a summit at 238 metres above sea level, situated in the southern part of Mikulov near the Austrian border. An interesting feature is that, right next to the vineyard, there is a memorial dedicated to fallen Napoleonic soldiers. We grow Ryzlink rýnský and Red Tramín červený here.

Mariánský kopec vineyard
Mariánský Hill, also known as Janičův Hill or Janičova Mountain, once stood at a height of 322 metres above sea level. However, limestone quarrying reduced the hill to a level of 249 metres above sea level, and the quarry is now flooded. Our vineyard ends practically at the edge of the former quarry, at a height of 15 metres above the water’s surface. In this vineyard, we grow Pálava, Rulandské bílé, Ryzlink rýnský, Ryzlink vlašský, and, of course, Irsai Oliver.
