Chardonnay 2015

A brand-new release and a true rarity – for the very first time, we have decided to release our archive wines for sale! One of these rare wines is the 2015 Chardonnay from the exclusive Diamond Vintage range, produced in a limited batch of just 600 bottles, of which we are now releasing the last few dozen for sale.

This dry Chardonnay comes from the Pod Svatým kopečkem I vineyard in Mikulov. To produce it, we selected the finest part of the vintage, which was then aged on the lees for nine months in two new barrique casks. As a result, the wine has acquired complexity, elegance and an exceptionally full-bodied character.

In the glass, it captivates with its golden-yellow colour and honey-coloured highlights. The slightly smoky aroma reveals notes of fine wood and fresh hazelnuts. The rich flavour echoes the aromatic profile, further developing notes of ripe gooseberry and flambéed pineapple. The long finish combines subtle spiciness, pleasant acidity and the characteristic Mikulov minerality.

A unique opportunity to taste a mature wine straight from the Vinařství Fučík’s archive. It pairs beautifully with pâtés, hearty meat dishes and mature cheeses. The recommended serving temperature is 9–12 °C. Available only whilst limited stocks last.

The bottles from our archive no longer have their original labels, so our Míša has labelled each one by hand at the winery – which is another reason why every bottle is completely unique.
